ESafety

We are committed to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of our children in the digital world and, as such, have placed eSafety at the very core of our Computing Curriculum for all ages.

Our children are taught to use and enjoy the Internet in a safe and responsible way whilst being aware of the potential dangers involved and how to avoid and report them. In developing their ability to use technology at a young age we aim to instill a digital confidence that will support them as they progress into secondary school and beyond. Our eSafety for Children page contains the key pointers for safe surfing together with links to professional web sites created specifically to support children's use of the Internet.

We are also committed to supporting the parents and carers of our children to help them provide a safe digital platform for their children at home. Our eSafety for Parents page provides a wealth of information to support our parents in this area and we are open to provide more detailed advice as required.

The school's eSafety Group provides formalised eSafety guidance and management from key members of staff for the whole school community and is responsible for ensuring a safe online experience for all our users. The Group ensures that the relevant policies, documentation and procedures are in place to help maintain a safe network and to quickly respond to any eSafety concerns as they arise. More details for the eSafety Group may be found on the eSafety Group page.
