When children are given the tools they need to develop spiritually, they learn how to reflect upon their own beliefs and those of their peers. They develop an interest in others' views which helps to share empathy and understanding around topics such a religion or other beliefs. Children also grow ever more fascinated with the world around them and learn to appreciate and respect it.
